This is the beginning of third year of an existence I never imagined I will be living- being financially dependent on someone.

I am absolutely at my patience’s end and am hundred percent sincere about trying any genuine free lance job on writing, that is I write and you pay, I am not keen to hit jackpot, fair payment will be fine enough for me.

I will like to clearly tell the robbers looking for fools to dupe to keep off – this one is too experienced to fall for your traps. I have tried for years to get a genuine, fair paying home-based job; the last time I was duped was in 2008 by a phony medical transcription institute, it gobbled up 30000 rupee and almost an years hard work, left me really sick in guts. Well, I am ready to take chances again but no longer being fooled. So, if any literary agent thinks that my works are worth it, I won’t mind sharing profits with him/ her; the percentage or fees for services will be negotiable. But please, don’t ask me to get a membership first, speak in trustworthy language. Or, any genuine publisher, publishing agency can gladly contact me, I will consider paying the fees if I think the offer isgenuine and reasonable.

You can check out my blogs to assess my writing and contact me.

The joke is on you

===================================================
The joke is on you 27.03.10
===================================================

He walks in to the room
Full of jovial crowd
Out to have some fun
The moment he stepped in
An eerie silence befell
Followed by an explosion
Of uncontrolled laughter
Booming like thunderbolt
Just like a thunder it crashed
Down on his stunned mine.

He stood frozen
He had a really bad week
All he wanted was tome cheer
To forget his miseries
By seeing others laugh
But he never imagined
He would be the joke,
He looked at them with fury
The laughter exploded again
He thought he will change the story.

He was about to start
A very ugly brawl
When a hand touched his shoulder
And he turned around
He saw the funniest looking man
Standing right behind him
They must have stepped together
In the bustling bar
He was the reason behind the laughter
He just stared, could not laugh.

“I know what was in your mind sonny!
That’s why I stooped you
For you ware about to be a victim
Of an unpardonable yet too common folly
You were about to hit out
Before checking the reason or facts
No sonny! They are not bad men!
They all are my friends!
They are not laughing at my looks!
They are laughing ‘cause I lost a bet!”

Talking about you 26.03.2010
===============================================

So you think he is talking about you?
Making fun of you
Disguising as a friend
He is taunting you?
His latest cartoon is you.
Oh it so resembles you.
It can’t be any one but you.
You should have known this before.

Wait, think before you act,
My dear friend, sometimes
There is so much more in life
Than the things that meet your eyes,
May be he has met someone
Who is just like you?
And that person has made him so angry
That he is making fun of him?

Light in darkness

--------------------------------------------------------
Light in darkness 22.08.10
--------------------------------------------------------

Why be so miserly
In sparing a smile
In saying a sweet word
In holding a hand
Oh our stay is so short
Who knows when we shall part!
Why not leave a patch of warmth
In every heart that comes across.

These small sparks of light
Spread their light and heat
When the night is spreading
Its dark cloak on existence
We see them twinkling
Unfazed spec of light
Decorating the darkness
Spreading their light.

------------------------------------------------------
Do you know? 26.03.2010
-------------------------------------------------------

Do you know?
One smile from you
Can brighten up
My darkest day?

Do you know?
One hello from you
Can bring smile to my lips
When my eyes are brimming with tear?

Do you know?
I count your friendship
As the sweetest thing
Which God has given me?

I thought you better should
For may be my feelings are hidden
And you don’t even know
How much precious you are to me.

Mother’s heart

She was out there alone
Dawn was yet to come
The stars were sparkling
A sickle moon shining.

Her bag was on her back
In which she stuffed
All the disposed things
From all the garbage bins.

She reached the first one
Was about to start her work
When she heard a growling
And a baby’s whimper.

Quickly she went to the dog
She saw it was sitting there
With a fierce look in her eyes
Five cubs were sucking milk.

Four had four legs
One had two, it was a baby girl
The dog wagged her tail at her
Allowed her to pick up the baby.

She patted her, gave her the biscuit
Which she has bought for her own
And started back for home thinking
One mother deserts, another saves.

Mother

When God decided to send
Her cherubs down to earth
She knew she will need
Someone just like her.

To take care of those precious souls
Till they can stand on their own
To guide and protect them
To love and nurture them.

She created her reflections
To Send her to the earth
To take care of her cherubs
When they reach the earth.

Her reflection was just like her
Patient, kind, protective
Her love was as deep as God
So was her whole bearing.

Who else will spend sleepless nights
Sacrifice her very being for her child
Without any expectation in return
Without any grudge or complain?

Best friends

He and she were best friends
The very best ones
That can ever be
He and she were body and shadow
That’s how it was meant to be.

Nothing could separate them
Not even their friends or parents
It seemed that they were glued
With each other forever.
Never did they think they will part.

Then he had to go away
They cried for days
Then time healed them
Suddenly he came to visit her
A decade has passed away.

Both blushed and she ran away
She sat in her room with beating heart
He stood there thinking hard
Is it the same person, the same being?
Who used to slip in my bathing tub?

Little miss

“No I don’t want that one
I want the red one
Not the green one
Please mama the red one for me.”

I heard a voice as sweet
As a nightingale
And turned to see
The tiny miss nagging.

How sweet is their world.
They live in true bliss
Mama and papa are there
To pamper little miss.

To doll her up and play
To make each and every day
Her laughter and baby talks
Are music to their ear.

A cute world for a princess
Full of love and pure bliss
That’s how it should be
For every little miss.

little princess

Children

God’s blessings to us
A silent promise
That She still believes us
Enough
To send her angels
In our care
Treat them like that
Even if they are not yours.

A teardrop in a child’s eyes
Means a tear from angels
This hurts God herself
Better be careful
Fragile and beautiful
They need our protection
Our care, guidance
Before they stand tall.

They don’t ask too much
Do they?
Their needs and demands
That also depends on us
Completely on our guidance
How we showed them
This beautiful world
What are her needs, whims.

She was a handful of clay
God placed in your hands
Its you who moulded her
To her current form
So don’t shrug and blame her
Take the blame on yourself
If your Barbie turns out to be
Something you did not wanted.

Even then I will say
Before you abuse one
Just stop and think about those
Who crave to have a little one
Try for years and fail
Empty cradle, empty lap
Then go ahead and decide
If she is a boon or curse.

Earth

This beautiful planet
Our earth our home
We come and live
Our life on her
Breathing her air
Drinking her water
Flourishing and basking
In her soil and sunshine.
Will it be too wrong?
If I call her my mother?

The one who held me
When I stumbled and fell
The one who fed me
The one who kissed me
By her sunshine
by her moonshine
by her breeze
And by her rain?
She and my mother hold
same place in heart of mine.

Pixie Queen

An old woman lived alone
In a hut near a forest
Deserted by her kith and kin
For she was too feeble to work.

She just lived and waited
For kind, calm death to come
Her heart was full of love
For each and every living thing.

She fell sick one night
Too ill to move out of bed
She laid there waiting for death
Soon sleep overcame her.

She woke up with chirping of birds
And to her shock she saw
Her hut has transformed
It was clean as anything, tidied up.

A basket of fruit, a jug of milk
Was waiting for her at her bedside
She could see a garden full of flowers
In place of thorny bushes, outside window.

She blessed the God’s angels
Very quickly she started to recover
Every night she fell asleep
Every morning her hut said the same story.

Then one night she faked sleep,
She heard a soft flutter and opened her eyes
She stared into the eyes of a group of pixies
Who have entered her hut from open window.

Their queen smiled at her when she saw
That they have been caught by the old lady
She smiled and called out,
A golden bird appeared in the window.

Its plumes were gorgeous, made of gold
It flew inside and sat on the laps
Of the old lady very fondly and cooed
A beautiful song filled up the hut.

“Mother, you remember the tiny fledgling?
You saved and nurtured last spring?
He is that fledgling, my dearest pet.
He came to see you every night.”

One by one the pixies hugged and kissed her,
Then the queen said, “We will be back to you
Whenever you will need our love or help.”
Then they flew away out of the window.

Hope

An old woman lived alone
She had no one to call her own
Sometimes people were cold to her
And sometimes they were really mean.

They assumed horrid things about her
They assumed them too very often
For she never told them who she was
Or from where has she come to live there.

Hearing their taunts, fear and hatred
She became brittle as a thorn
All people could see on her face was
Anger, hatred or a big frown.

Soon that suspicion, mockery and hatred
Harvested its crop, she too started to hate
She made her hut her fortress and lived there
Hating, cursing the whole human race.

One morning when she opened her door
She saw a tiny child lying there
Hardly four or five years old
A pretty girl in tattered rags.

The mother inside her woke up
She asked her from where she was
And heard that she was an orphan
Who has lost her way in the dark.

Her life transformed with her touch
She started to live again
Soon her tiny hut was ringing
With the laughter of the little girl.

The neighbours started to ask her questions
She answered none, and raised suspicions
They branded her a thief, a kidnapper
And decided to punish her in front of all.

They chained the old woman, dragged her to court
The king was sitting on the throne
The little girl game with her, with eyes full of tear
The king was moved to see the duo.

On his gentle, kind query, every thing came out,
He ordered his subjects to never bother them
Told them to never hurt those they don’t love.
For only love gives us right to punish.

And as they have left the old woman to die alone
While they lived a happy life a few yards away,
Now that God has given her a glimmer of hope
They don’t have any rights to snatch that away.

Fairy princess

A fairy queen had to leave her child
her daughter among the mortal souls
for she had to wage a war
against the evil sorcerer to save her land,
she left her behind with a aching heart,
but drew a line of invisible fire around her,
that fire permitted only loving souls
to touch her piece of heart… her child.

The girl started to grow up among men
but was a fairy princess after all
blessed with beauty and soul of the fairies.
Anyone who came to her without love
was singed by the invisible fire around
the moment they tried to touch her.
Such was the power of that guardian,
a mother’s aching, loving heart.

The queen could not get back to her
she died fighting the sorcerer.
The sorcerer then targetted the child
tried for years but could not harm her.
Every time he tried to touch her he
would singe, so will all his helpers.
Then one day the king of fairies came
down for his daughter to get her back.

A golden chariot with white horses
came down from the heaven to the hut,
where the fairy princess was dwelling
with her human foster parents in peace.
Her father came down from the chariot
thanked her foster family and took his
beloved’s only gift with him to his fairy
kingdom, to make her safe and happy.

wolf

He trusted you with all his heart

so much that he asked you

to see if his love was placed right

for he lived in a distant land.

You, called yourself his friend

little did he knew you are a wolf

in sheep’s attire, you twisted

his mind against his own love.

Using his own weaknesses against

him, made him believe a white swan

was a black raven and tried to win

his love, you did succeed for a while.

But then fate played its part he met

the white swan in the path of life

and recognized the wolf dressed as

a lovely innocent warm sheep.

He may not get his swan back again

but he is a human being not sheep

so your chances with him are over

go search for some one else to fool.

sorcerer

An evil sorcerer had a pretty daughter

and a rogue son without a soul to go

her son befriended an innocent  prince

who was in love with a distant friend.

A friend he has never met face to face

but had fallen for her deeply

he sought the help of his friend to help

him in winning the hand of his lady love.

The rogue said yes, he will help him,

he will go there himself and bring her.

He covered the dagger in velvet sheath

said noble words hiding the greed.

He asked him for some symbol so

he could introduce himself as his friend

and took his ring and went to the girl

and told her that he is the prince.

He harassed the girl so badly faking as

the prince that the girl started to hate

his very name. Finishing his job there

he went back to prince with fake dismay

Told him that she loves him but is an

old woman married to some one else.

Then he offered her his sister’s hand

like a gallant knight, the prince denied.

The sorcerer casted her spell on the

doomed lovers, slowly their love ebbed

on one hand she pretended as the prince

to the hapless girl and did the same to him.

They both started to believe that the other

one is vile, their love was misplaced

the prince fell for sorcerer’s daughter and

his love started to hate his very name.

thief

How many times will you get caught

before you know that lie walks

without a feet? It can walk a while

but once it stumbles it falls flat.

You cheated your friend

stole someone else’s love

then your mate found out

what you are and left you.

Its no use haunting those who

had nothing to do with you

nor will ever have to do

you should rinse your soul.

You have ruined your yesterdays

by masquerading as an angel

now just admit your dark side

repent.. that’s the only way.

Little butterfly

A lonely butterfly lost its way

it was wandering in the desert

with no sight of flowers

no view of shrubs or trees.

It met a high mountain

blocking the vision

part of its heart said

quit fighting give up.

Something inside it said

lets try and see what comes

it flew high, high and higher

and it reached the other side.

Its tiny wings danced with joy

when it was welcomed by a

valley full of flowers and

thousands of tiny, little butterflies.

So happy

A poem for my intent angels:

A lonely butterfly lost its way
it was wandering in the desert
with no sight of flowers
no view of shrubs or trees.

It met a high mountain
blocking the vision
part of its heart said
quit fighting give up.

Something inside it said
lets try and see what comes
it flew high, high and higher
and it reached the other side.

Its tiny wings danced with joy
when it was welcomed by a
valley full of flowers and
thousands of tiny, little butterflies.

The curse

An evil witch casted a spell on an angel
that spell perished her from heaven
cursed her to wander in loveless lands
her body became so deformed that
whenever she reached out her hand
for love, every one shrank back with fear.

Her eyes forever brimmed with tear
for she ached so much for the love
which she used to share with her sisters
back in the glory days in heaven.
Though she yearned for them to be back
a part of her heart was slowly giving away.

One dark night she saved a man from
the clutches of sure death, he clung
to her like a small child she guided him
to morning, knowing he will throw away
the hand when he sees her in the day
the day came and the day went to her wonder.

When nothing changed she asked her friend
why is he not going away after seeing how
deformed she is, the man laughed out loud
and said, my angel your love brims in your
eyes, have seen so many women never

seen such divine eyes, I will stay forever.

The captive

Once a little bird was caught in net
the hunter took his prey and caged
him in his dark home, the little bird
so accustomed to fly wild and free
hopping from one to another tree
was jailed in a cage of cold metals.

Every morning the hunter’s daughter
used to come to him and feed him
the tiny child implored the caged bird
to sing a song for her every day
the bird used to stare back at her
with eyes full of pain and mistrust.

One morning the girl heard a divine tune
coming from the cage.. she ran to see
and heard flap of wings fluttering wild,
she saw another bird which has flown
away at her approach and her prisoner
flapping his wings in wild despair.

She understood the entire story, the wild
friend singing for the friend held prisoner,
she looked hither and thither and when
she was sure that no one was around,
she gently opened the door of the cage
and united the friends in the deep blue sky.

chosing right friend

After having too many good friends in life, some of whom have filled up my life with love, joy and happiness, I have learnt one lesson, that is if some one finds a loving friend, who wants to stay throughout the life, he is luckier than the richest person in life, but such luck is rare.

Friends in one hand can be a source of great joy and peace but on the other hand they can cause immense pain, because we expect truly unselfish affection from friends, hoping that they will love us just the way we are, ignoring our harmless lacking, like gawky looks, empty wallet etc etc. but quite contrary to our belief, there are people who go by such trivial things when they are choosing friends. And when simple minded people get entangled with them, the result is always painful.

As a person who was extremely affectionate, loyal, love hungry and extremely plain, I have few things to share, I believe that its extremely improbable for people like me to get friends who will match our level of enthusiasm about friendship. Because in present age most of the people look for entertainment in every thing, in movies, in books, in relationships every where, hence those, who are like me, whose mindset is fifty years old should be extra careful of their feelings, and should know when to let go. That’s the biggest mantra of happy relationships.

There are few ways in which we can expertly de-weed, that is let the casual people go, throw the dangerous ones out and stick with only serious people. There are two types of temporary friends, one those who are completely harmless, and just don’t want to stick with some one unless they are too much impressed by them, these people come to your life overflow it with their sweetness and then just disappear, no matter how much you try, they don’t stay back. You will slowly come to know their nature, they gradually distance themselves, their warmth slowly disappears, and if you still cling to them they become cold and some times rude, they try to make you understand in every possible way that they are not interested in you any more, like not picking up your phone, but telling you how much they love talking with mister x or miss y, they often spend hours with them on phone. Whenever you mail them, the answers are in one or two lines, or try to chat with them, they disappear with polite excuses, but later tell you elaborately how they spend pages of mail to others, or chat for hours with other, If you get that hint, good, otherwise these people can sometimes become nasty, or rude. Just let them walk away, and if they come back, think twice before giving them access, just admit the truth that they are not the committing type. They will move away the moment they saw some one more interesting.

The second type are to be thrown away from your life the moment their cover is blown, these people lead an unhappy personal life, and as a big majority of unhappy people, try to spread that poison to others. They will become friends with you, then try to irritate you, snub you, insult you and if you don’t give in, then try to misuse the information you have already passed on to them. Just don’t share too much information with friends unless you are very clear about their motives. And take my tip, some times deliberately give them some false information to gauge their intentions. In my 3 years of net friendship I have come across these two categories of people, and am yet to find the friend who will stay back.
