MESSAGEBOARD

This is the beginning of third year of an existence I never imagined I will be living- being financially dependent on someone.

I am absolutely at my patience’s end and am hundred percent sincere about trying any genuine free lance job on writing, that is I write and you pay, I am not keen to hit jackpot, fair payment will be fine enough for me.

I will like to clearly tell the robbers looking for fools to dupe to keep off – this one is too experienced to fall for your traps. I have tried for years to get a genuine, fair paying home-based job; the last time I was duped was in 2008 by a phony medical transcription institute, it gobbled up 30000 rupee and almost an years hard work, left me really sick in guts. Well, I am ready to take chances again but no longer being fooled. So, if any literary agent thinks that my works are worth it, I won’t mind sharing profits with him/ her; the percentage or fees for services will be negotiable. But please, don’t ask me to get a membership first, speak in trustworthy language. Or, any genuine publisher, publishing agency can gladly contact me, I will consider paying the fees if I think the offer isgenuine and reasonable.

You can check out my blogs to assess my writing and contact me.

lady of moon

have you seen her?
in the darkness of night
when wind falls asleep
moon silently spreads light.

in the darkness of night
she slips out of her prison
when wind falls asleep
she alights on moon, tears drop.

she slips out of her prison
when the world sleeps
she alights on moon, tears drop
shower down as the rays of moon.

When the world sleeps
her love for her lover
shower down as the rays of moon
sparkling in the darkness.

her love for her lover
resonate in his tears
sparkling in the darkness
crowning the ocean waves.

Moon and ocean

waves reach up
eagerly
to touch
glowing moon
she smiles
scatters garlands
of fragrant foam
waves pick them up
to decorate themselves.

Earth stops breathing
Winds hush up
mermaids come up
to see them play
fairies fly down
to meet them there
together they watch
the playing moon and sea.

bliss

peace from heaven above
wrapped around my soul
as if i am placed
in your soft, loving palm
like a dewdrop
nestled on a rose
or a little child
nestled against mater
blessed, beautiful surrender
the realm of ultimate peace.

Lost princess

The beautiful princess
Lost every thing
Her joy, hope, happiness
Her love too followed suit.

She was the apple of king’s eyes
Never saw her mom
She fell in love with a prince
And their marriage was on horizon.

Then she was told
She will not have him
For she did not had royal blood
She was a deserted, abandoned child.

She felt her world has ended
She ran away from the palace
Determined to end the life
Which has taken away her breath.

She was about to commit the sin
When she heard a voice sweet
Sweeter than the nightingales
Which sang to her in dawn.

“Don’t be sad my child
You don’t belong to human race
We lost you when you were born
And we found you at brink of death.”

She turned and saw two golden fairies
Standing right beside her
With the touch of their magic wands
Her own wings woke up from slumber.

Together they flew away to moon
To the land of endless joy
From the land of skepticism and scorn
To the home of the lost child.

Hounds of pain

Better not forget
Everyone has a right
To be happy, dignified,
Better not paint black
On the colours of life.

When you are in pain
Try to remember
Everyone has his share
Of torment and misery
No one is spared.

Don’t let your pain
Unleash the hounds
They have tied down
With great strength of soul
They may rip you apart too.

Sometimes our own pain
Numbs our whole being
And we forget the pain
Which others are going through,
And end up stirring that dead pyre.

Pain, grief, sorrow needs comfort
But try to make that helping hand
Help you stand up on your feet again
Just don’t make it bleed
And regret that it found, helped you.

forgiving

They say
Forgiveness is virtue
It proves that you are man
Your kindness is divine.

I wonder
Does a child forgives
The abuser who ripped him
Of his rightful innocence?

Or the mother
Who sees her own baby killed
Without any reason at all
Forgives the murderer.

Forgiving, is it that easy?
Or we just pretend?
Then why do we urge to write
Death sentences for terrorists?

We should be forgiving everyone
That’s how it should be
Or did I get the word wrong?
May that might be.

handling grief

They say
Different people
Have different ways
Of handling grief.

Some keep shedding tears
Till that day
When last drop of tear
Has left their eyes.

They share their pain
With everyone
Talk about it repeatedly
Until it’s absolutely gone.

Some become mum
Don’t utter a word
Wait for the day
When the turmoil stops.

They share their pain
With none.
They keep it away from mind
And wait for it to fly away.

Did any one of them loved less?
Or was anyone’s pain lesser than other?
I guess not, I think not,
It’s just their own ways to douse the pain.

Death brushes by

A beautiful bird
Used to come
Every dawn
To sing a song
Sitting on the branch
It used to pour down
Its very soul in melody
Filling me up with peace.

It stopped coming
I thought it was gone
Away to some beautiful world
And is living there happily
Then someone told me
Its no longer around
Its soul has left its body
Gone away to most beautiful place.

Sadness enveloped my heart
Death brushed by me
Caught me unawares
A friend passing by
Asked about tears in eye
Could not say any thing
He did not even knew the bird
I could not spread my pain
To his happy, joyful heart.

Some sadness is for us only
They just cant be shared
We can only wait for time
To dry those unshed tears
To wipe out that touch of pain
From our heart and soul
And make us breathe easy
Bring back the joyfulness again.

little princess

Children

God’s blessings to us
A silent promise
That She still believes us
Enough
To send her angels
In our care
Treat them like that
Even if they are not yours.

A teardrop in a child’s eyes
Means a tear from angels
This hurts God herself
Better be careful
Fragile and beautiful
They need our protection
Our care, guidance
Before they stand tall.

They don’t ask too much
Do they?
Their needs and demands
That also depends on us
Completely on our guidance
How we showed them
This beautiful world
What are her needs, whims.

She was a handful of clay
God placed in your hands
Its you who moulded her
To her current form
So don’t shrug and blame her
Take the blame on yourself
If your Barbie turns out to be
Something you did not wanted.

Even then I will say
Before you abuse one
Just stop and think about those
Who crave to have a little one
Try for years and fail
Empty cradle, empty lap
Then go ahead and decide
If she is a boon or curse.

vengeance

wounded love
cheated or abused love
wounded pride
destroyed dignity
those sleepless nights
spent in bed
tossing around
chalking vengeance.

Sooner or later
If the cut is deep
They will seek out
A way to do it
Better not stir them
The dark feeling
Of vengeance
Evolving from crushed heart.

tears

tears are not weakness
they don’t mean cowardice
they are the thawing
of the ice of pain.

The frozen ice of pain
Clasping around your soul
Melts down in tears
Let them easily flow.

sadness

sadness is a shadow
which should be met
with smiles and light
if you let it linger
too long in your heart
it will deepen
and become darkness
darkness of pain.

Cruel abuse

Cruel abuse surrounds her
She feels her life is bleak
Without a glimmer of light
She feels she is doomed.

She scratches all the walls
In vain
The stones don’t feel her pain
They only silent her sobs.

When someone tries to pull her out
Talks words of hope to her
She tries to find out pain in her
Sometimes she succeeds in that.

Her pain is so intense
It makes her numb towards the miseries
Which others have, and try to forget
She pries out them from their closets.

No one likes to stay with her for long
For they all have their fires of hell
She adds fuel to that
And bites the hand that feeds her.

Does she want a shoulder to cry on?
Or does she want to cry with someone?
Her reasoning becomes mystery to others
And she ends up brooding alone.

I have seen so many examples of this. These people win our pity but not companionship. Because their pain soon starts to engulf us and we get desperate to break free of that darkness which spreads from them and engulfs us.

Most of these people have very genuine reasons to be upset, but in their grief they forget that every human being suffers, so it’s normal human nature to look for happiness. If a person becomes source of unhappiness majority of people avoid them. And we should not blame them.

It’s better to share our immense pain with as little as possible people and slowly try to get over it. Because God has blessed us with only one life. And once it’s gone it won’t be back again, no matter how much we beg.

When we smile the world smiles with us, when we cry-we cry alone.

Shattered strings

Don’t expect a perfect melody
from a lyre with shattered strings
ripped again and again
by cruel, clumsy, unkind fingers.

If you want it to sing sweet
pick it from the dust
where it is lying in neglect
repair all its shattered strings.

Then try with love and kindness
may be it will sing again
but the cruelty of past hands
may come back to choke it.

If you cant ignore those moments
those tiny falterings
go for a new lyre
leave it where it is now.

The well

Silver moon shining above
A soft, white mist rising
From the earth toward sky
A lonely rider galloping.

He has to reach the next town
Before tomorrow dawn
So he gallops away
While the whole world sleeps.

His throat is perched
His horse too seems drained
Suddenly he saw in distance
A well, a dream come true.

He galloped his horse toward it
Reached it and climbed down
He looked around for a bucket
But there were none.

Despaired he was about to climb back
When he heard a haunting song
Ringing in a voice oh so sweet
He searched and found a hut.

He reached the door and knocked
A beautiful woman opened the door
“Is it you my love? Are you back?”
He saw that she had not sight.

Beast within him woke up
He saw left and right
Seeing no one around
He entered the hut.

Next morning the villagers came
To get water from the well.
They saw a horse tied to the well,
Its rider lying dead a mile away.

They shook their head and sighed.
A blind girl lived there
With her loving husband
One night someone took advantage.

Of the hapless girl’s lost sight
And her husband’s absence.
They both were found in the well
By the villagers next day.

Every thirsty traveler
Is lured to that hut
Those who ask for bucket
Get one and travel away.

Those who forget humanity
Are found here lying
With body as cold as ice.
Without their soul within.

Ego

No my love,
Its not your love
That wants to change me
To mould me completely.

Its your ego that’s talking
Your ego wants control
To twist and turn me
Around your little finger.

I love you its true my love
But my love is not blind
It is open as sky
It sees every thing and soaks.

It knows if I change
Bend myself, lie down in dust
You will still want to change me
Or, you will reject me.

So tough to hate

Its really so tough for me to hate them,

tiny buds nipped away from stem

when they were not even properly born

snatched away to the land of hatred.

There the hymns of hatred are chanted

day in and day out to their ears

their souls are corrupted from the core

reaping all profits from their innocence.

They walk out of that living mortuary

carrying weapons of massive destruction

to kill and destroy and get killed…

Their teacher’s one and only instruction.

Being brought up by messengers of hatred

all they carry and know is bitter hatred

hatred for all, even their own blood

in their veins blood is replaced by hatred.

These brainwashed beings suddenly realize

they are surrounded by the same hatred

with which they were supposed to be destroying

innocent lives, their dreams and hopes.

The people who ignored their plight

while their life was being twisted to hell

stirred up when their life was threatened

woke up with the rage and fury of hell.

Tormented souls

tormented souls submerged in their misery deep
tossing and turning in the pain and hurt
sometimes created by destiny, sometimes by them
pain, frustration and fury boils within their soul.

Sometimes they reach out their decayed fingers
From the depth of the dark abyss
Touch the souls passing by the icy tips
Freeze their warmth and joy and go back to the deep..

sita

remember that pure loving soul
who left her palace to toil
with her lover in wilderness
left riches and welcomed rags.

Then she sent her lover for a wild goose chase,
full of girlish innocence, seeking a golden deer
It was not meant to be found just like any bait,
every thing went just the way it was in her fate.

She ended up in claws of Ravan
Who tried to win her in vain
He lured her, tortured her,
terrorised her, imprisoned her.

in the dark forest of his greed
his temptresses and aides
tried to break her defense
corrupt her love but could not succeed.

then came the day her lover came to her side
she felt as if she was flying in the seventh sky
their eyes met and her heart was shattered
she saw darkness of suspicion not loving light.

all her love, sacrifice and self restrain
was scattered on the dust was just in vain
she was tested by fire, and earth, and pain
miracles could not prove the absence of stain.

then mother earth took her to her bossom
and swore in anger that she wont bloom
such a precious flower on this earth again
to be tortured by evil and scorned by men.
