power of Words 19.08.10
--------------------------------------------------------
Words …. Weigh them
Perfectly.
Before you let them out
To meet the world.
They can thrill and kill
Ruin and rebuild
A life, a heart a soul
Their power – is intense.
More powerful than raging fire
Than a twisting, twirling storm
Or an ocean boiling in fury
A volcano erupting its suppressed wrath.
You control them- you are the king
They control you- you are pauper
Remember one thing before saying a thing
Sooner or later they come back to you.
After gathering all the dues
They sometimes grow big as a raging storm
Before they hit you back
To tear your world apart.
--------------------------------------------------------
Sweet and bitter 20.04.2010
----------------------------------------------------------
Sweet kind words
Don’t cost us a dime
Nor do cruel taunts
Do they cost us a thing?
Watch the difference
Of two free things
One brings smile
The other grimace.
Chose them with care
For it will decide
The colour with which
You will paint your world.
Think what will you like
Being surrounded by flowers
Or army of thorns
Waiting for their chance to prick.

MESSAGEBOARD
This is the beginning of third year of an existence I never imagined I will be living- being financially dependent on someone.
I am absolutely at my patience’s end and am hundred percent sincere about trying any genuine free lance job on writing, that is I write and you pay, I am not keen to hit jackpot, fair payment will be fine enough for me.
I will like to clearly tell the robbers looking for fools to dupe to keep off – this one is too experienced to fall for your traps. I have tried for years to get a genuine, fair paying home-based job; the last time I was duped was in 2008 by a phony medical transcription institute, it gobbled up 30000 rupee and almost an years hard work, left me really sick in guts. Well, I am ready to take chances again but no longer being fooled. So, if any literary agent thinks that my works are worth it, I won’t mind sharing profits with him/ her; the percentage or fees for services will be negotiable. But please, don’t ask me to get a membership first, speak in trustworthy language. Or, any genuine publisher, publishing agency can gladly contact me, I will consider paying the fees if I think the offer isgenuine and reasonable.

sleeping seed
Promises, hopes and dreams
Tightly bundled within
Covered by a hard shell
Sleeps in the fertile womb
Green leaves slowly make way
As soil parts to let them
To see the golden sunshine
To kiss rain, wind and sunrays.
They reach out for the golden sun
Their bodies getting tough every day
Hopes and dreams sprout as leaves
Branches spread out everywhere.
Flowers bloom, fruits ripe
Birds build nest, beasts feast
Who would have imagined
A tight kernel holding a dream divine!

butterfly awakes
Out in the garden,
Roaming around
The little girl complained
“Look at those hairy things,
Killing all our plants.”
“Daddy please kills them!
Before they chew them up all,
Nothing will be left behind.”
“Hun, those hairy, fuzzy things,
Running havoc in the garden,
Will soon bundle up in a ball
Ceasing all the pranks.
When that ball will break open
A beautiful butterfly will be out
Making your garden
A million times more beautiful.”

Colourful dreams
she sleeps
a bundle of vibrant colours
sheltered by a fortress
to keep her safe
till the glorious day
when magic wand will touch
her lovely eyes
she will yawn and stretch
spread her gorgeous wings
to sail out of her fort
and enchant the world

Golden fairy
I saw her pouting
A fragile golden winged being
Sun has woken her up
And reported a theft.
He said the roses have stolen
The ruby of her lips
Sky has stolen
Crystal blue from her eyes.
Sunflower and daisies
Committed the sin
Took away a tiny bit
Of her lock’s gold.
She sat there pouting first
Then she laughed out loud
Laughing like a nightingale
She flew back to moon.

Happy heart
my heart soars like a dove
up in the blue sky
in the white ivory clouds
above every binding, limitation.
It sings in ecstasy
If dreams the sweetest dreams
No chains can tie it down
No restrain can weigh it down
It glides with the wind
Rolls with the waves
Burns like fire
Soothes like rain.
It laughs with the lightning
Roars with the thunder
Touches the earth
Only to soar again.

play your flute
Spread your wings Fly
Let the music flow
From your soul
Shower down
On earth below
Touch the blue sky
Don’t let any wind
Pull you down
Don’t let any serenade
Abash your melody
Let it flow, let it glow.

Children
God’s blessings to us
A silent promise
That She still believes us
Enough
To send her angels
In our care
Treat them like that
Even if they are not yours.
A teardrop in a child’s eyes
Means a tear from angels
This hurts God herself
Better be careful
Fragile and beautiful
They need our protection
Our care, guidance
Before they stand tall.
They don’t ask too much
Do they?
Their needs and demands
That also depends on us
Completely on our guidance
How we showed them
This beautiful world
What are her needs, whims.
She was a handful of clay
God placed in your hands
Its you who moulded her
To her current form
So don’t shrug and blame her
Take the blame on yourself
If your Barbie turns out to be
Something you did not wanted.
Even then I will say
Before you abuse one
Just stop and think about those
Who crave to have a little one
Try for years and fail
Empty cradle, empty lap
Then go ahead and decide
If she is a boon or curse.

Rain
Her body was parched dry
So long it has been
She has been touched by love
Her whole being has gone dry
Even the tears in her eye
She looked at the sky
And begged God for mercy.
Covered with dust and dry leaves
She waited for the mercy
Kindness of the heaven above
Slowly they came- dark clouds
And sprinkled down on her
Their unconditional love
Her body bloomed, life sprouted
A lovely fragrance enveloped her.
So long it has been
She has been touched by love
Her whole being has gone dry
Even the tears in her eye

nights
I love nights, like I love days
Star studded or gray metro skies
I love the air of mystery
The soft envelop of silence.
That follows the busy days
To soothe the very soul
Occassional barking and mewling
Stray vehicles passing by.
Sometimes shattered by the whistle
Of the night watchman on his round
Apart from that all you can hear
Are the sounds made by yourself.
The soothing sound of your breath
Fingers rustling the pages of book
Or softly dancing on keyboard
What an absolute bliss.

Feelings and passion
Feelings are like wings
Wings of birds, butterflies
They soar but not to high
They know they belong to earth.
Passions are like meteors
Blazing, shooting high
They don’t care about anything
They want to kiss the seventh sky.
Wings of birds, butterflies
They soar but not to high
They know they belong to earth.
Passions are like meteors
Blazing, shooting high
They don’t care about anything
They want to kiss the seventh sky.

happiness
happiness is a butterfly
soft, graceful, fragile
to be watched
not to be held
it will stay as per
its own will
just enjoy its presence
it will fly away
to fly back in another form.

Soul and body
Kings court was packed
With eager eyed musicians
Waiting for their chance
To prove their excellence.
One by one they enchanted
Court full of audiences
Spellbound by their expertise
Mesmerized by their excellence.
The masters retreated one by one
Took their seats to hear
Others pour out their souls
With utmost perfection.
He came forward last
Eyes lowered, bowed his head
Folded his hands to everyone
Sat down with his lyre.
Music herself came down to earth
She danced around the court
Took each and every listener
To her heavenly home.
The audience just sat there
Spellbound, not even realizing
The musician has stopped playing
His head was resting on floor.
“Perfection is the body
Passion is the soul.”
“A perfect soul can survive sans body
A perfect body can’t survive sans soul.”
No one had any doubt, regrets
When the court musician was named
Every one stood up and applauded
While he stood there humbled and cheered.

Passion never dies
You can never kill
A passionate soul
As long as his body
Possesses his soul
He will resurrect
From every death
No matter how hard
You try to kill him.
He will paint
A marvelous painting
With all the shades
Of black and gray.
He will build
A castle of sand
To marvel at
Or bewitch you.
Or maybe dig a pond
Create an oasis
In the desert
You have banished him.
Passion never dies
It’s a bubbling brook
It will tear free
From each n every rock.
It knows only to fly
In the endless sky
It will never stay
In a choking cage.
A passionate soul
As long as his body
Possesses his soul
He will resurrect
From every death
No matter how hard

Different shades of passion
A beautiful flower
Opened her eyes
A butterfly glided by
Wanted just to touch her
To softly kiss her petals
A bee buzzed around her
Its tiny wings buzzing
In ecstasy of finding her
He wanted to have her
But not forever.
An artist tried to paint her.
His heart filled up with joy
His eyes filled up with dream
He wanted not her
He wanted to capture her beauty.
One lovely flower
Stirred so many passions
Passion to kiss her
Passion to have her
Passion to capture her charm.
Opened her eyes
A butterfly glided by
Wanted just to touch her
To softly kiss her petals

Magic potion
Passion is the magic potion
God placed in your hand
Try it, before it’s too late
And you will see how it works.
Add some passion in your eyes
When you see the birds, the sky
When you see your kids, friends
When you see your office gate.
Add a little of it in your hands
When you clasp, shake another
Write a poem, type a letter
When you open the kitchen door.
Just a little drop of this potion
Will transform your dreary world
Into a world of fairy tales
This prescription has been tried well.

Passion is
Passion is driving like lightning
Passion is relishing
A slow walk down the road
Enjoying every second.
Passion is dancing till you drop
Passion is dancing in the rain
Dancing slow waltz
While ecstasy runs in your vein.
Passion is eruption of volcanoes
And it is the glowing fire
In hearts and candles
In eyes, smiles and embraces.
Passion is to grab the brush
And create a masterpiece
Passion is to stand in awe
Passion is relishing
A slow walk down the road
Enjoying every second.

A wild horse
It’s a wild, untamed horse
A gust of crazy wind
To ride it, have to tame it
Or else it will tame you.
What’s the fun?
in being a man
If you don’t ride
Wild horses?
If you don’t soak
The lashing of storm
Relish the blinding flash
Of gorgeous lightning?
Passion is life
Life is passion
You can rein it
Or it will rein.
Both ways you will live life
Without passion life is death
It’s just a parade
Of undead zombies.

Single and happy
Another pair of eyes
Looking at me with pity
A part of my heart fumes
The other half smiles.
She is someone who claims
Her life is ruined, destroyed
As she has fallen in the hands
Of a drunkard, a corrupt man.
She looks at me and says,
“We both are ruined, destroyed.”
“I fell in the hands of a beast.”
“You could not find any one for you.”
I firmly say to her,
“Sorry I can’t agree with you.”
“I didn’t find someone
for I didn’t wanted to.”
“You count yourself as destroyed”
“Think whatever suits you.”
“But please don’t try to think
I am because I am happier than most of you.”
“I live like a queen free and happy
I don’t have any chains around my body, soul,
Above all my spirit is free
So how can I think my life is a waste?”
“I do what I want to
I live the way I love to
I act the way I yearn to
So I certainly am not destroyed.”
“I wake up and sleep when I want to
I dress up the way I want
I eat what I want; I drink what I want,
I am the queen of my life- not exactly ruined.”
