MESSAGEBOARD

This is the beginning of third year of an existence I never imagined I will be living- being financially dependent on someone.

I am absolutely at my patience’s end and am hundred percent sincere about trying any genuine free lance job on writing, that is I write and you pay, I am not keen to hit jackpot, fair payment will be fine enough for me.

I will like to clearly tell the robbers looking for fools to dupe to keep off – this one is too experienced to fall for your traps. I have tried for years to get a genuine, fair paying home-based job; the last time I was duped was in 2008 by a phony medical transcription institute, it gobbled up 30000 rupee and almost an years hard work, left me really sick in guts. Well, I am ready to take chances again but no longer being fooled. So, if any literary agent thinks that my works are worth it, I won’t mind sharing profits with him/ her; the percentage or fees for services will be negotiable. But please, don’t ask me to get a membership first, speak in trustworthy language. Or, any genuine publisher, publishing agency can gladly contact me, I will consider paying the fees if I think the offer isgenuine and reasonable.

You can check out my blogs to assess my writing and contact me.

voice of love

voice of love, tis the softest one..

it rarely speaks through lips.

The whole being takes the place

of feeble tongue to glow with love.

The body, the soul, and actions

all get transformed by its touch.

It speaks, all listen spellbound

and then spread out pure love.

Those who cant see… feel it

those who cant hear… touch it

those who cant think… embrace it

it knows no barrier which will stop it.

Its rarely observed by mortal senses

yet it can transform the whole world.

It is invisible and invincible

angels bow their head, such is its power.

it can create an oasis in bleak desert

run a stream of love in a loveless heart.

It can softly scoop up a shattered heart,

and  make a wingless soul soar sky.

path of truth

Be yourself, when you have full faith

that you are moving in the right path..

Search your own soul, not eyes of ohers,

and when that search is over,  walk steady.

Your soul will burn with fire and light of truth

to show you the way, to save your soul

Weak wings of lies will not be able to hide

that beautiful fire of truth, though it will try.

Multiple wings of envy, lie and hatred

will surround you only to perish.

While you will walk softly, steadily

toward your own true destination.

Path of truth is never easy, its tough

for you walk unique, untrodden path.

Better keep your fire and light alive

because you will need your own light.

There will be times when you will feel

whole creation is turning against you…

But that will turn out to be noise of wings

while they cover the sun and roar around.

Just keep your light shining and walk tall

for soon they will vanish and you will see

that the world is still around you as it was

it was hidden from you only for a while...

Little bird

Feeling a little tired at the way the world works

sometimes it just steals the wind under our wings

thinking about all the suspicions we face

when we try to help someone out of compassion.

Was sitting beside the window,  gazing out at trees

The green leaves, blue sky, scattered white clouds.

A little bird flew out of nowhere and softly alighted,

gently, tenderly it started a song as if too soothe me.

Little bird singing oh so sweet from the branch

Filling up my very being with your divine strain

What are you trying to tell us by spreading

That pure, divine melody free of any cost?

The purest and most precious things are free?

So when we come across beautiful souls

Brimming with love, tenderness and affection

never waste the bliss by searching hidden cost.

In God’s kingdom the most costly things are free

Air, water, food, light, God’s love.. none bears a price

So is the love which we cherish for each other

So just let it be and lets be love, compassion and grace.

White stallion

Soft blue moonshine pouring down

from distant dazzling moon

in the deep blue night ocean

adorned with white garlands of foam.

A mesmerized soul was sitting

under a tree simply staring at you

your waves coming and going

with a wonderful music in them.

it appeared as if a dream woke up

or the  foams have risen up from sea

taking  the form of a white stallion

gracefully galloping on the beach.

It galloped away gracefully

I could not even confirm myself

if I was dreaming..if it was a magic

or a sea nymph came up to the beach.

flying together

I saw you flying together in the golden sky

I did not tried to count your numbers

for I noted you were too many together

but flying in peace, harmony and union.

I pondered for a while when I have seen

so many human beings heading together

in one direction so much peacefully

and discovered that’s a rare phenomenon.

You sailed in the golden blue heaven

rising sun’s golden rays illuminating

your graceful snowy white wings

giving them a hue of crimson gold.

You looked like a fleet of sailed boats

gliding gracefully in the ocean blue

your sails glowing with golden fire

as the rising sun greets your being.

tree

Standing with dignity and grace

his roots deep in earth

his limbs spread all around

his proud head touching the sky.

His spirit flies with the storm wind

His body stays firmly in ground though

His soul soaks the sun’s golden rays

His limbs spread all around him.

Full of sweetest fruits, dazzling flowers

nurturing, sheltering every one around.

His body dances with clouds in ecstassy

and his soul stands firmly in the ground.

He teaches us so much if we learn

To be complete one needs dreams and sense

To hold love one has to spread his arms.

To bear fruit one has to go deep within oneself.

Celebration of love

A butterfly soaring upon flowers

touching and kissing each one

softly sharing her gentle love

before flying away to next one.

A white flower was hoping she will

come to him and talk for a while

but she flew away elsewhere

before he could call her out.

The flower sadly watched around

and observed his dazzling friends,

sadly he realized he had no hope

to win any one’s affection or love.

Gently the night fell, moon came up

her soft beams came down there

her beams surrounded the sad being

and made him dazzle like a pearl.

Softly they whispered to him with love

“we all have someone who loves us

just look around you dearest one

can you see your dazzling friends?

They meant the world to the butterflies

so they kissed them one and all

you mean the world to all of us

that is why you are celebrated by us”.

A lake and a mountain

When I first saw you two I thought I was dreaming

peacefully standing in the middle of the lake

surrounded by a small patch of velvety, green grass

your heads touching the blue sky, white clouds.

I stood there and my eyes wandered beyond you

across those snow capped mountains, guarding you

blue water of lake reflecting the blue sky, singing to you.

I realized deep inside, why this earth is called heaven..

Gentle breeze softly caressing your green leaves

crystal clear water singing sweetly to you

sun rays and moon beams coming down to kiss you

how magnificient is your entire being my friends.

When night is deep, no soul around to see

do the fairies come down and sit on your branches

to watch the lake glitter in silent moon light

they sing and dance around you and fly away in morning.

illuminated

Slender trees standing side by side

elegantly lined beside the sleeping river

small boats sailing here and there

morning breeze softly caressing all.

Gently kissing the boats to make them stir

playing with the leaves and branches of trees.

softly nudging the lazy river to wake her up

silent river breaks into giggles of crystal ripple.

Suddenly the eastern sky was set on fire

as if a ball of fire leaped up from the horizon

the river, the boats and the leaves

all became aflame with a golden fire.

Small flames were leaping from the treetops

tiny sparks bursting from the river

slowly the sun rolled a little higher, little further

everything went back to its old self.

Deep blue sky

Deep blue sky, deeper than the bluest eye

lazily lying on the grass I stare into thee

I feel as if I am swimming inside you

your endless depth surrounding me.

I spread my white wings and fly

deeper and deeper in you

white clouds brushing by me

softly caressing my wings with love.

Sometimes I see deep lakes under me

or tall pine trees clustered together

surrounding the crystal clear lake

admiring their own shadow in it.

Then my soul returns to earth from sky

I discover myself lying on the grass

soaked in fragrance of wilderness

gazing blissfully in your endless depth.

Land of dreams

As the night moves on

darker the shadows become

creations start to spill in

is it the magic of moon?

Or some mystery works in dark

the region between dream n real

where dream come forward

and try to woo harsh reality.

The soft enchanting magic of dreams

try to overpower witty brain

try to lure him to the land of fairies

where mermaids bask in ocean beach.

Where white stallions run wild

where dream fairies come down

from the sky to say goodnight

and brain surrenders to dreams..

Tears of fire

last night I had a strange dream

I woke up hearing someone sob

I went out to search it out

located it to the temple nearby.

Curious I got inside the divine abode

to my shock I realized

the deity was crying inconsolably

tears of fire streaming down her cheek.

Everywhere that tear dropped

a small flame of fire shot up

surprised I knelt down before her

and begged her for the reason.

Gently she spoke, in a voice sweet

“My child, I cry for thee all…

My tears fall when you hate each other.

When those who are supposed to save, kill.”

I saw in the temple wall, reflections of torment.

A king torturing his subjects, a priest cheating.

A mother hitting her child heartlessly..and more.

Softly she said, “This goes on and on and I cry…”

In the woods

Alone in the woods, taking a stroll

surrounded by tall, majestic trees

touching, kissing the blue sky

sometimes peeping through green.

The ground covered by green grass,

air covered in veil of milky mist

I being the only living soul

even the birds preferred not chirping.

In that mysterious hushed silence

my heart was beating fast

my senses were filled up with mist

and fragrance of green trees.

Will I encounter a fairy somewhere

she too taking her stroll in the woods

will she be furious or just fly away?

leaving me behind mesmerized..

Ocean of fire

Deep blue ocean with touch of emerald green
Stretching to horizon kissing the mist
Surrounded by ice-capped mountains on one side
On the other it is wooded lands
Trees touching the skies and swaying in ocean wind.

The rays of sun have set the ocean on cold fire
Sparkling, burning, orange rays running like waves
As if fire is rippling from the soul of the ocean
Forming waves after wave, rushing to the shore
A beauty surpassing human words witnessed by only sky.

Bridge to moon

The bus was winding its way
Slowly in the mountain road
Silver moon was shining
In its full glory in sky.

Half asleep beside the window
I was gazing out dreamily
At the silhouettes of passing trees
Bushes, small hillocks swishing by.

Then I saw the bridge
The bus too slowed a bit
It started from our end
Stretched to clouds and mist.

A quiet, serene river was stretched
Deep down below in the valley
Spread like a serene silver sheet
Illuminated softly in soft moon light.

The bridge lost its way in clouds
Was it made by human hands?
Or the fairies have laid it down
To come down to the mountain tops?

Crystal cascade

sitting on the rock, gazing silently
the rushing water of hilly, wild river
tumbling down in crystal cascade
dancing, singing on cruel rocks.

She looked like a beautiful girl
Dancing her way down a hill
Gently stepping on rocks
Singing a soft, sweet song.

Sometimes she looked like
crystal cherubs running
down the body of the hill
tumbling all over each other.

Then sometimes she appeared
a lonely maiden, singing alone
walking down the hill to her love
knowing soon she will meet him.

staying home, doing nothing :)

Well I am staying home, doing nothing (as per current social views) though I humbly contradict with them, I may not be earning money, a single rupee but I do work guys, I cook, clean, do all sort of things which home runners do… ha ha!!!! This taunt is for my friends who have bugged me to no end since january, “how could you stay at home doing nothing!!!! Go out and get a job. Or do some tutions from home.. do any thing!!! Get out of home!!!” … I play deaf with them and love it.

How mindsets change with time. When I was approaching my youth my family did not co operated me in my career, because they thought nice ladies don’t work.

Yes, that’s how it is still thought in some of small town reputed famillies. So they acted like anti current to all my career attempts.

As a result I could not make a proper career and started to try for private concern jobs after crossing my thirties. My sole intention behind joining jobs was more passing time than earning money. Soon I found out that the level of sacrifice required to work in these small organisation is not worth the trouble. Actually I wont take the earth in lieu of that much sacrifice.

I preferred utilising my time at home, which consists of only two people (mostly me, because my brother stays out of west bengal mostly). I was actually planning to work as a MT from home this plan was derailed by a failed medical transcription in a fraud institute. I ended up losing twenty thousand rupee, six months and a job (the one I left to join this organisation).

But for the part of staying at home, when I look back I feel content about decision, staying at home instead of working for these small organisations. Which don’t offer the minimum salary or work environment to their employees. These organisations shamelessly encash the unemployment of the country and play with their health and safety. Which can be swallowed by people who dont have enough to eat but not by a person who is educated and have enough qualifications and certainly dignity.

I still remember my last office, which was a perfect nightmare partly due to extreme rudeness of one of the bosses (i will give him 1000 in scale of 100 for rudeness) and atleast half a dozen of other reasons.

They almost succeeded in killing/maiming me by crashing false ceiling on me, it was sheer luck that I shifted my position a few seconds before that ceiling crashed down.

The ceiling was being pulled down and i was instructed to stay in the office, they were away. none of the persons pulling down told me that if that ceiling crashed on my head it will atleast disfigure me. I certainly asked them.

My bosses were certainly safe, far away from office, I was left to guard it.

Wherever I go I will not forget the two years I spent in that organisation and their shameless exploitation of their employees. But they they helped me to finally make up my mind, after ten years of trying my luck in small private concerns...

In place of wasting my toil after these people I prefer staying at home and improving my writing skills… its far better utilisation of time.

Kalipuja

Most of the urban Bengalis celebrate deepawali, but to some rare and lucky people like me, who have a “desher bari aka family home in village” are blessed with the chance of celebrating the real Kalipuja.

Well, let me warn you in the very beginning its not for feeble hearted people.

My ancestral home is under Khandaghosh P.S., its an old single storied home, atleast a few hundred years old, surrounded by ruins of our earlier abodes. The scenery is simply mind blowing.

On one side there is river damodar with its vast spread banks of sand and small gardens, on the other side are ruins, bushes, trees, bamboo groves and empty land.

Our home lights up only five days per year, during the durgapuja, when the entire family gathers. They bring generator sets and electricians who light up the entire house. It is enveloped in darkness through out the remaining year, the only mean of light is primitive forms like lantern and candle.

I have been to the Kalipuja a few times only, the place is not very safe so I had to stop myself from visiting regularly, but the memory of those puja is never to be erased from my heart and mind.

Kalipuja starts at midnight of the amavasya and the idol is immersed on bhaiphonta aka bhaidooj (the day after kalipuja). We - I, my two siblings and my uncle used to land in home at about noon of Kalipuja, after that my uncle used to leave to locate the purohit and see if the preparations are going in the right direction, and we used to fish out the pradeeps to clean them up and fill them with oil.

We used to place them all around the house after the dusk has settled in, with the help of others. I still rue the lack of a good camera, by which we could take the snap of that marvelous picture which those lighted pradeeps used to make at night.

Those of you who have a little imagination can just close your eyes and imagine a very old house surrounded by utter darkness. Only the house is lighted with simmering pradeeps, lined up beautifully against the dark sky and the dark surroundings. I still can see that scene after ten years in my mind’s eye.

After the puja used to start we used to gather in the pujamandap with handcounted villagers, who had sacrificed the funs of crackers to attend the puja. The pujamandap used to be dimly lit, with a couple of lanterns and petromaxes (a lantern like thing which burns atleast ten times brighter). We used to silently sit there, half dozing or watching the puja.

I used to slip out before the balidan (animal sacrifice), and go to the home, and sit at the gate, silently watching the people of Burdwan bursting crackers. As the only thing between Burdwan and my village was vast bank of Damodar river and the river itself I could see the bright crackers.

That’s a non forgettable memory. Not a single soul any where, just me and the silent surroundings. The sky full of stars, a silent dark row of ruined rooms where once was atithishala (rooms for travellers seeking shelter for night), and our own ancestor’s abodes, a sleepy riverbank lined by trees, the sky full of light of firecrackers.

We used to return the next morning, the purohit used to take care of the puja of the remaining two days, and the bisarjan.

Happy diwali

INTENT.COM

Some experiences become a part of our soul. I stumbled into intent.com looking for some details about actor rahul bose.. and found out a treasure trove.

Intent.com and its bloggers changed my opinion about human beings permanently. Very frankly speaking I have never seen so many unselfish and affectionate persons under the same roof aka in the same website.

Intent server crashed on 23rd September, the day my computer crashed, I have not been able to log in since then..

This durgapuja has brought boons in disguise of irritation.. first I got over my addiction of internet + computer, second I got over my hyper addiction of intent. the intent server is still not up. But when it will I will most probably not log in, because I used to spend 8-10 hours there, which is impossible for me now, because I have sliced down my computer hours to one third and am busy writing stories.

But I have plans of getting broadband connection, then I certainly will be able to squeeze out some time for intent. till then this fabulous site and its priceless people will stay in my heart and soul.
