What does a homebird (a very content one) does when her computer crashes without a notice?
Mine did, on 23rd night, here i was sending a message to a friend and the monitor went black.
I did not panicked because it was second time, first time I did.. :) i was absolutely miserable when it happened in July. I tried every possible thing, opened all the sockets and plugs of the computer and the monitor, tried to inspect them as much as i could with my zero knowledge in hardware.. every thing failed :)
the service guy graciously appeared after a week and said a circuit was burnt, he replaced the circuit.
so this time when it happened i simply called up my brother, who was out of station, he in turn called up the service guy ... :) he too was out of station.. ha ha!!!!
he returned the day after, when i called him up he asked me (almost in tears) if i can manage the days of durgapuja (24th to 28th), he will be here on 30th even if the world is under ten feet of water.. i got my new monitor as puja gift on 1st, he is still to show up.
I started my surprise puja vacation (vacation from computer) with bankim chandra chatterjee, read his book (complete collection of his works) for the nth time.
next i started to read bhagwat geeta and taking snaps from my cellphone .. the shooting ground was every thing i could capture through my windows. i truly relished this durgapuja to the core.. the blue sky, white clouds, green trees and occassional dark clouds.. they left me fully alive and in love with this adorable planet.
well any one who wants to check those snaps can check in my blog justmycell.blogspot.com
This is the beginning of third year of an existence I never imagined I will be living- being financially dependent on someone.
I am absolutely at my patience’s end and am hundred percent sincere about trying any genuine free lance job on writing, that is I write and you pay, I am not keen to hit jackpot, fair payment will be fine enough for me.
I will like to clearly tell the robbers looking for fools to dupe to keep off – this one is too experienced to fall for your traps. I have tried for years to get a genuine, fair paying home-based job; the last time I was duped was in 2008 by a phony medical transcription institute, it gobbled up 30000 rupee and almost an years hard work, left me really sick in guts. Well, I am ready to take chances again but no longer being fooled. So, if any literary agent thinks that my works are worth it, I won’t mind sharing profits with him/ her; the percentage or fees for services will be negotiable. But please, don’t ask me to get a membership first, speak in trustworthy language. Or, any genuine publisher, publishing agency can gladly contact me, I will consider paying the fees if I think the offer isgenuine and reasonable.
