Light in the darkness
don’t tempt too much the
demons of dark to snub you
by dancing in too wild glory.
Slow down your passion
to win over the dark
glow with a steady light
wait for your day to come.
Till then increase your
strength, your power
let your light shower
like a steady morning star.
Once your day has come
your inner light will
shine so bright that
the darkness will retreat.
Patience is the virtue of
noble souls, they have faith
on God and they know to wait
for the day of truth and light.

Your poem came in a time, when i needed it the most. It has given the strength i required. Thank you.
ReplyDeletedear zakeer,
ReplyDeleteYet another similarity, i have learnt to control my nature of speaking out clear (not cruel) truth after struggling for years.
i recently read a comment in a book which opened my eyes, it said "speak the words of virtue only among virtuous people, if you speak about virtue among corrupt souls they will take it as insult and will sooner or later settle their score by insulting you."
this is harsh reality.
with warmest wishes,
wonderful poem..to be patient is not always easy
ReplyDeletedear robert,
ReplyDeleteyou bet, i used to be too straightforward, and i have been struggling for last 25 years (started after becoming teenager)to control that tiny beast caged behind the teeth. :)
and she just breaks free and i make some more enemies.
in today's world the most dangerous thing is to wear your honesty on your sleeve.
be honest but by actions, no use to draw attention toward it unless its essential.
with very best wishes,
